Year-end social 1st December - do come along

20 November 2016

Be there or be square! We are holding a Year End social on Thursday 1st December at The Bohemia in North Finchley, N12. This is the one time in the year when you can come along to meet other Greens without be asked to do anything.

We will be in the mezzanine area right at the back from about 7pm.

So whether you are one of our new recruits, disgusted at the lack of progress on key global problems amid the controversies over Brexit and Donald Trump, or a long-standing member, still supporting our struggle for a fair deal for people and the planet, do come along for a chat with like minded people. I promise no-one will say 'Bremoaner' or 'You lost, get over it.'

You can also find out more about our latest campaigns, from unearthing the illegal air pollution levels in many Barnet locations to opposing Barnet Council's plans to institutionalise the social cleansing of local low income families after already relocating many families outside the borough following the demolition of several social housing estates formerly providing comfortable homes for thousands of people.

Or you can avoid sensitive subjects altogether. "Personally, I'm eager to chat about my bid to rise above Jonathan Bartley in the Green Party fantasy football league!" writes Barnet Greens membership officer Andrew Newby.

Either way, do come along on the 1st. There will be a few nibbles and plenty of lively conversation. The Bohemia is a home-brew pub but it also sells tea, coffee and soft drinks, if you prefer.

Ideally, if you hope to come along, it would be helpful if you could let us know either by replying to this e-mail or contacting andrewnewby1@gmail.com.
